Roll 31

I love when I get to shoot portraits outdoors. It combines my two favorite passions in photography. Being in nature without distractions is  like shooting in a private studio and really helps me push my creative outlets.

If you've been following this film roll series you must know Abby is one of my favorite models to work with. I've shot many rolls of her and she never fails to inspire me when we shoot. The friendship we have had really pushed what we are to to create together to another level.

i hope you enjoy this roll and as always it's great to hear which photo is your favorite from a roll.

Roll 29&30

These two rolls are a continuation of the past roll which feature Mari and Daneé. Some of these images are the favorite shots I've ever taken. I was blown away from the colors of these, especially the shots in the bathroom. The greens just scream film to me and I honestly wished I would have taken a few more shots, but the light was so low, I wasn't sure if they'd turn out. I still wasn't use to shooting handheld at 1/15th  and 1/30th of a sec, but now have learned that the Leica rangefinder and their cloth shutters allow for much less vibration, which helps with handheld shooting in low light situations.

As always I love hearing which photo is your favorite in the comments below! I have tons of rolls to share, so don't forget to subscribe.

Roll28

The next few rolls carry a lot of meaning to me. They document when I finally I met my good friend Mariangela in person! I met Mari on Instagram and when she told me she'd be traveling to San Francisco from New York with her friend Daneé, I was beyond excited. Mari is probably the only other film photographer I've hung out with and she also makes for an amazing model!

I met up with Mari and Daneé and we immediately took off for the Marin Headlands to shoot the Golden Gate Bridge. When we arrived I was very happy to see the fog rolling in. I love when nature adds different elements to my work and I find that fog helps create beautiful colors in my portraits.

I hope you enjoy this roll and let me know which image is your favorite!

Roll 26&27

I've shot so much film lately it's been a bit crazy. I just got back from Scotland and I really want to get things rolling again and catch up on this blog. I've received many messages asking where I've been and if I'll continue this series. The last couple months have been a bit hectic, but I plan to commit to this series and become much more consistent. Since I have some major catching up to do, I plan to combine some rolls together.

These next two rolls blended together. It's interesting to see how the colors change just a bit between both rolls. Both are Kodak Portra 160, but I believe one of the rolls was pushed a stop and the other wasn't.

As usual please let me know which photos are your favorite. Don't forget to subscribe!

Roll 25

I'm super excited to share this roll! All of these shots are from my Olympus Stylus Epic point and shoot that I sometimes throw in my bag. I purchased this camera new as a teenager in the 90's and it still works like a charm.

I love keeping tri-x 400 in this camera and just snapping photos here and there while on shoots. It produces great images and is a perfect travel camera since it is all-weather. The only downside is it's a bit flash happy and you have to turn off the flash manually in order to make sure it doesn't go off. As you can see I forgot a handful of times to do this and retook a few shots.

Let me know if the comments which image is your favorite and don't forget to subscribe! I have a ton of new rolls and will be posting much more often.
