Giant Together - A baseball story

Well regular season is over in baseball and the playoffs are before us!  I recently had the incredible opportunity to take photos for the Giants social media.  As a huge baseball fan I was in awe of being able to go down on the field and watch the pre-game warm up.  AT&T Park is an incredible place to take in a baseball and you can't beat some of the views of the city!  Big thanks to everyone who made this happen!!!  You know who you are!  Here are some of the images I captured!  And best of luck to the Giants in the postseason!

Sorry Giants fan I had to capture a shot of my childhood idol, Mr. Mark McGwire, who is now the dodgers hitting coach.

LOOPTWORKS iPad Mini Sleeve Review

The good people at LOOPTWORKS contacted me a few weeks back and asked if I would be interested in becoming a brand ambassador for their company.  I gave their website a look over and looked at what they had to offer and I was immediately sold.  For those of you who don't know what LOOPTWORKS does, they use upcycled materials to create all their products.  One item that they send me in particular is their new iPad Tiki Sleeve.  The Tiki comes in three colors, but I think the black looks nice and sleek, plus it's available for the iPad Mini and iPad Air.  Not only does it hold an iPad, but it also is able to store an iPhone,  charger card and earbuds.  The handle on the Tiki is very convenient and makes grabbing this sleeve and taking it on the go very easy.

I myself took the Tiki on the road with me on a recent trip to Reno.  I figured i'd put the Tiki to the test, and see how it handled on adventures around the resort I stayed at.  It was super useful when I headed down to the pool and was able to carry my iPad Mini, room key, cash, and headphones!  Check out the photos that I captured of the Tiki while on my trip.

Make sure to visit www.looptworks.com to find out more about the Tiki and also you can purchase the Tiki on www.applestore.com.

Rachel - Part. 2

Here is second part of my shoot with Rachel Ellam.  We had a great time venturing around the city and maybe drank a bit too much coffee. Give her some love on Instagram @rashell.

Madeline - Part. 1

As many of you know I'm a landscape photographer who has fallen in love with shooting portraits. There is just something about capturing that moment with a person. Not only do I enjoy capturing images of people but I love the social aspect.  As a landscape photographer I was pretty much a loner.  I would scout alone and shoot alone.  Sometimes spending an entire day waiting for a perfect scene to show itself.  There is just something about working with a model that is so different and challenging.  I'm not longer waiting for a shot to occur, or the sky to open up, or fog to roll in, i'm able place a person in an environment and create an image.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Madeline.  A talented model and also a great person to grab a coffee with and share a few laughs.  I had a few places in mind to shoot, but some of my favorite images came from last minute spots I thought of.  I love shooting nice soft light, but i've taken it upon myself to work with harsh light and learn to make shots work no mater the condition of the light.  It looks like I'll no longer waste my day waiting for that last hour of light.  Hope you enjoy!
